You guys know these raises will come with a price right? There is no way they are just suddenly coming to their sense's and paying for hard work. Things will now just get that much harder. They will get rid of assistant managers and we will not only have to do our already heavy work load but also do assistant manager work. We will be expected to stay even later along with being called in all the time. We will have to cover for their vacations and so on. Most leads stay in that position because they know becoming a manager is not what we want. Now we will be forced into it. I will hold out and get this extra pay, but when they lay the new rules on us I will most likely bounce. After 12 years and breaking my back for Thai place, I will have to finally give in and quit.

After they see all the overtime the leads are getting, they will bump them to salary. Watch and see.... It'll be just another step in forcing them to be management.
TL are not happy when people off the street are now making as much or more as someone who has worked their way up on the role for 18 years. No raise for me and others getting $3-$6 bumps.
The catch to this is going to be simple. They're going to expect more from us. More money means more responsibility. I'm 100% fine with that. I enjoy customer service and taking care of our members. I can perform in every function on the front end (carts, membership, pickup, t-b-cco, cashiering obviously and with some jewelry, cafe and maintenance) and I did all that making $13 then to $15 and now to $18.
Pretty soon there will be no one to lead. The rest of us who have to work every weekend and no pay raise will quit
Team leads aren't complaining about the raise, it's the consequences of getting one. My complaint is I don't want to take on more responsibility than I already do. If I wanted to be a manager, I would be a manager. I shouldn't have to do more work because of what I'm being paid but because of what my current rank is. So what exactly are the actual managers going to be doing now? It's counterproductive, and team leads and managers need to work together, not every man for himself. That doesn't help at all.
Yes TLs are being compensated for all of the extra duties. They now have the pay that backs their new workload and are still hourly. Win win for the TLs. People complaining about this obviously shouldn't be a TL.
Hourly associates need a raise. I make good money. But they bust their butt's for $11 an hour. Sorry just wrong.
I was trained on I9 months ago and have always had requisition power....why is this new news?
Leads are already in charge of all of their associates via WorkDay. Leads also just got trained how to open requisitions, after being trained on I9 and orientation. Some of us are getting keys on the 22nd and acting as managers when they're busy or on break.
So how do you pay for these massive raises?
See ya Fam 1 and one of the Merch Managers. Don't need 'em if you have 4 leads being paid as managers in an hourly role with keys.
Speaking as a current MTL, I can only hope we’re next to go. 13 years, and the only thing that is consistent is b---s--- and change.
This company is ridiculous. Why give out raises to team leads who not know anything? Try asking them if they know how to navigate in Workday How can you put in for new positions when nobody can show an associate how to change their preferences and take the assessment for supervisory position? I have a team lead who is completely useless. You can ask over and over again for assistance and you never get it.
Lol goodbye then od love to work over time at 31 dollars an hour the benefit to being a non salaried member of management
Probably because the MTL is getting cut soon...
Not all leads are getting a raise. MTL isn't but yet all the COS's come to me with issues and they'll be making more than me?? I'm DONE
