I havent seen all that many layoffs so not sure how true a lot of this is. But, by the end of summer and my vacation I will start looking. Tired of this nonsense. This place is just toxic.
I heard another large round in August and again in November.
They don’t care if you are on vacation, if your time is up, it’s up. They know when you are coming back. HR is watching....
They don't call you on the phone while on vacation. They just wait for your first day back in the office and then tell you then.
Much rather they call me on the phone while on vacation to tell me I’m laid off as opposed to being in the office.
Why August, that is generally vacations and a lot of people are out of the office. Especially in NY. Europe is generally nowhere to be found that month.
Is it all areas or departments?

Yes, I am hearing big numbers..... certainly in the thousands.
Check the meeting room application, HR have rooms booked 5 - 9 AUG.
Brooklyn hasn’t really been hit big yet.
