Don’t f—ing talk about how we “need a union” until you’ve worked for a unionized grocery store.

Kroger: Base level pay ~$7.25-$13.50, assistant department head ~$14.50, department head ~$17.75. Raises and promotions based entirely on seniority, merit cannot even be considered. Impossible to fire anyone no matter how incompetent or unprofessional they are (s-xually harass your coworkers all you want, you’re protected). Expects base level employees to cover department head and assistant department head work for YEARS without the appropriate pay.

If the union pieces of sh– somehow actually bring their sick nightmare to life, I’ll quit. In the meantime, I’ll do whatever I can to educate the people you aspire to victimize about how much infinitely worse things could be.

Just realize STL’s are still getting between 4.7k-11k in quarterly bonuses plus amazon options. Time to make a move happen. Bury these clowns.

Oh yeah, go ahead on and make those demands so companies who don't care and will just replace more humans with machines. Meanwhile, those humans left fund political shenanigans via a "union" cult, not other humans that actually care for workers. Like all those people demanding a "working wage" of $15 an hour get to sit and watch their jobs be replaced by technology. Some people just don't understand business. Minimum wage was never intended to support a family, doh! Good luck with that.

For anyone interested, the email has been posted here. Remember that on anonymous platforms like this members of leadership (including my own) reply with comments about how terrible unions are. The truth is that whether or not we unionize, there is power in numbers and right now collective bargaining is the aim. If you're having a great experience with Whole Foods, that's great! Continue on being happy. But for the many of us who are being treated unfairly and taken advantage of....now is the time to do something about it. So many of us think it's just us, our team, our leadership, our store....and if we just move up or transfer things will be better. Well there are people from every region having the same experiences. Whole Worker pushed for a $15 min wage over a year ago and soon after that was the sudden starting wage announcement. You know the truth. If you see something wrong with the way things are heading why not continue to make history for workers across the country?

I have experience with Unions in past jobs. They are horrible. I have to pay the Union to work? GTFO

Whole Foods Market has been a great company for me and for many. I can talk to my TL anytime I want and I dont need a middleman. If you are hard worker you will do good. If you are a good hard worker and you are no happy with WFM then talk to your TL or just find a better company.

This company pays more than competitors and you are guaranteed a review and raise every year as long as you aren't an id--t. I have worked many jobs in my life and this is by far the easiest.

Unionize? What for? So you can give your "dues" to the union as a middle man for political lobbying? Unions don't give a c-ap about workers. Wake the heck up.

The dollar an hour raise in November last year is to keep the unions away.

I don’t know about the NA still, but I’m running my still in the backwoods of Arkansas. It turns a pretty good profit, and I really don’t think unionizing my mules would be of any benefit.
