Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Dumbed down - now up!

I was RA'd last year. For some reason my head is now clearer than ever. I was IQ 140+ when joining and still am. But clarity of thought now is much better than when in IBM. It's like a veil has been lifted. Maybe I was clouded by those around me? I was in sales (lol). But it's a serious question. Anyone else feel like they are now free from mental congestion?

Yeah I completely concur with this! The best part for me was the loss of that "Sunday night dread" feeling and a much clearer segregation of work/home life. Not to mention the ridiculous volume of e-mail which would invariably take 1-2 hours to sift through and process each day. To be honest, I think this is symptomatic of most corporate companies now and you're far better off being a "big cog in a small machine" if you can find a position that suits. Good post!
