I haven’t been on in a while and wonder if there was any new news on the state and future of HCL/Xerox
There was the document from HCL that showed the timeline of how employment to HCL would happen over 18 months or so.
Since then I hear folks at Michigan Office Solutions acting like “maybe this won’t happen” and so they aren’t looking for work elsewhere...that’s scary unless there is some actual documentation that backs this?
CFO was either lying or in denial saying “well we just don’t know for sure if you’ll lose your job to outsourcing “
Many of the folks that haven’t been moved to HCL (like the MOS finance dept) have this air of superiority about them :(
They think they are special or better because they are still MOS
It’s uncomfortable to work around.
MOS continues to lose good people :(
Head of contracts and founder of family business, head of HR, team lead in shop-prep, various other roles including purchasing and sales
The MOS customer care is understaffed and overwhelmed with migration of Indiana core to MOS
The FMAudit team just moved 3,000 accounts to the monitoring software which means more toner alerts, new install requests, and maintenance
There are MANY temps and new hires throughout the office.
Conversation with long time employees who STILL are unaware what the HCL relationship means.
They had no clue MOS HCL only have jobs until Sept/Oct ish
MOS HCL can’t participate in constant job postings by recruiting team
And from what I read in the leaked HCL document a couple months ago - 90% of all Xerox/XBS will be sidesourced to HCL over 18 months
They hadn’t heard ANY of this.
There’s speculation that changes will happen before a July bonus - to save money.
There’s now a rumor that HCL shadowing was so tough on them that they changed their mind and we won’t be outsourced now :)
Or at least it won’t happen in Oct as per the ‘6 month 60 day notice’ promise we got.
Everyone is living as if the stuff that happened in March/April is OK now and we will all be just fine
Are there any DOCUMENTED updates that anything has changed - good or bad?
It’s a sad state of being - this company was fun and had a future
Now there’s no room for growth
No incentive to succeed (other than personal work ethic of course)
No reason to be a part of the company other than - it’s a paycheck
This was a bit more of a downer post than I planned - I’m sorry for that :)
After 11 years with MOS I’m leaving in two weeks. I am one of the lucky ones
I wish the same for the rest of them...
