Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Raises.

The lead raises are great and in many ways they still made several mistakes. No way should the more experienced leads be at the new found minimum pay with the less experience leads. Also how does member team lead and merchandising leads make the same money? The member team are just COS’s they do nothing more they should have stayed at 12.50. Merchandising leads have more of a physical demanding position and more work. They should not be equal pay.

I started the company as a cos I introduced the plus program I work in every area and I'm a fresh lead. I still go up front and help I can do anything from cutting meat to cakes and prepared foods I work and rotate the freezer and coolers and I still keep on top of 48 I'm glad that they are finally paying me for the work that I do. There are alot of people that think I'm lazy but i dont b@@@@ch about it. I dont say will guess what I did you job. I jump in and do what is required of me with not a complaint. The people that are complaining did not take part in what this company has grown into. Do this people have to do reports write coes order stock clean know how to read reports. Plus do everything a floor lead does. If something goes wrong we have to explain. If inventory goes missing it's on us. Coming from working all ends every job has there complacations but the fresh TL jobs are more involved then the rest.

It's not the position that determines the laziness., it is the person. Too many examples to cite where a person was a hard worker in one area and grew lead in their backend in another.

COS/MSS/MES and now the converted to Member Service Leads. We honestly deserve it. The managers don't run the front end but the underpaid supervisors do. We break our backs keeping that understaffed machine moving. The job itself is easy but when you factor in the amount of stuff we manage and the above mentioned understaffed and the BS of the people and trying to motivate our team..... It takes a certain level of people and the job isn't for everyone. They're making this move because they are loosing too many good supervisors.

Obviously you haven’t worked the position so I wouldn’t be talking... it’s way harder than it looks

Lol I’m assuming you’ve never worked up front. Please try to cos for a day and then come talk to me. We are constantly multi tasking, getting calls from not only cashiers but membership, cafe, t-b-cco, jewelry, carts, gas station. As well as dealing with sh--ty members that have nothing else better to do than complain about us not carrying an item they used to buy or complaining about having to renew their membership that expired a year ago. I feel bad for the lead that will have to cover my lunch on the other opening cos’s days off. But yea you’re right, we don’t do anything.

COS don’t even know what to do, they don’t even know what the heck job they have they should not get that $18. All they do in front is to make noises and eat while they’re working. Walking like they’re the boss. Forgetting to give gas stations breaks and yelling to cashiering to get plus or credits.

Consider this a bone that they are throwing out to the people that are staying and they are desperate to keep
