Leads are down. Foot traffic is up.

PSE for the Lennox sale must have been new if he was the one who called you. More likely it was the salesman from the installer who called you. It was probably a CYA move so you wouldn’t call corporate if it went badly.
Even if the install would have s---ed, would you really tell?? I don't think so. So funny.
I had to laugh at the “not my job” to fix it PSE. I just spent around $8k for a new Lennox heating and air conditioner from one of Lowe’s competitors. The salesmen, made the sale, called the morning of the install to let me know the installers were on the way and gave me contact info for follow up if there was an issue. He said if the office doesn’t respond promptly to please let him know and he will take it up the chain of command.
My install went smoothly. And I get $2k in rebates,
The CSA and cashiers are expected to know that Lowe’s sells installations. Do they get a bonus when they point someone to the garden department? Just because a coworker gets a commission for making a sale, doesn’t mean someone shouldn’t direct the customer to a PSE + get $10 if PSE sells it.
If I were in a floor position, I’d set 2 a shift and make an extra $50 a week.
Its not the PSE'S job to fix customer installation issues. That maybe why the PSE didn't fix it.
In real estate the agent gets a commission and sits at open houses all day many days to get a sale. In loans, most companies have the agents calling businesses to get leads. But at Lowe’s, the CSA and Cashiers are expected to be the lead generators for the PSE. Is the PSE held accountable for lead generation? I’ve dealt with some good ones and some lazy ones. The last PSE I worked with was so bad my neighbors complained at my house because neither he nor management would fix his mess.
Why worry Home Depot doesn't have PSE and eventually lowes won't either.gotta read the playbook
It used to be $10. Then gone. Then 10. Then gone. Then 20. Then gone. Now it’s get leads or get written up. Needless to say the quality of leads has dropped.
There is no incentive for an over worked csa or specialist to produce leads. The PSE gets commission, but the person qualifying the customer gets nothing. Make each lead that generates a sale produce a 20 or 50 dollar bonus and you will see leads increase.
Maybe the company would be better off selling space for a lead table to one of the proud window install companies? Those guys pay thousands of dollars for each home show and see fewer people in a weekend than each Lowe’s sees on a Wednesday. Can you imagine how many leads a company like champion would get out of one Lowe’s store? It would be great to get half that effort from Lowe’s.
Nobody knows about the Lowe’s installations. Lowe’s doesn’t even show up on the first page when you search window installation online. Employees don’t know about it, and managers don’t know how to enter a lead. I’m surprised there aren’t more people replying on this thread.
Was PSE for ten years. Towards the end I would still hear people say “you install windows?” When I asked for leads.
Right?! Isn’t the entire store just an understaffed lead table for the PSE? A 100,000 SQFT lead table with customers not even being able to find an associate who will take the time to schedule an appointment.
Lead tables are fickle. Not bad to have but if focus is on the customers in the store at the departments it will be more beneficial. Blanket edicts for manned lead tables are ignorant at best, stupid at worst. Why doesn't Lowe's just have good customer service? It would require staffing though!
