What is oxy’s policy on tuition reimbursement? 100% tuition paid? 80%? How long do you have to stay in order to not have to repay back tuition?

There’s no guarantee that you will be approved. I worked there for more than 5 years but wasn’t approved. I guess you have to be one of the chosen ones - if not, good luck.
That’s a good policy.
The policy is up to 50,000 total. There is not a per year maximum.
Hard to say, here's the policy according to the 2019 employee benefits program: Oxy encourages employee self-development by providing educational assistance to eligible full-time employees who successfully complete preapproved courses of study. Upon the successful completion of each course of study that is begun as an Oxy employee, eligible employees generally will be reimbursed for required educational fees including tuition, textbooks, laboratory fees, for a maximum of ten courses per calendar year up to the total preapproved reimbursement amount.
Reading between the lines, they give themselves a lot of outs: eligible employee, preapproved course of study, preapproved reimbursement amount, etc. Up to 10 courses per calendar year would be $25,000 in the masters program I completed. APC reimbursed me $7,500 per calendar year so I stretched the program over 3 years although you could get the entire program paid for at APC if you choose to go slow.
LOL, asking the real questions around here. They’ll probably try and reverse any reimbursement already paid out in 2019. Say they let you go in August, they’d prorate through the end of the month YTD. So you’re looking at 2/3rd’s funded; aka you owe back 1/3 of this years reimbursement, deductible from your severance.
good luck getting any
