This was no longer a career after the removal of commission. Once an extra reason to go above and beyond no longer. If you told me If I worked harder I could make more money I would in a heartbeat. If you told me I could work harder and get no where I wouldn't. It changed the whole moral. When they started laying people off (Myself included). They made it known we didn't matter if we had a good wage. IE more then 50K a year. I am now gone a year plus I do not work weekends or nights. I have a lot of flexible time and sometimes go home after 5-6 hours. I wouldn't go back to retail for anything.

Retail used to be a good career choice. Retail jobs once paid a comfortable wage with decent benefits and retail employees were valued for their experience and knowledge. Now retail employees are treated poorly by both customers and management. Corporate management view employees as a cost to be cut rather than as an investment to be maintained. Marvin Ellison is not a leader but a follower and pushing Lowe's into the latest retail trends, which includes a workforce of part time employees. Lowe's employees are no longer considered assets but rather commodities to be used/abused and tossed aside. And it will only get worse after the 100 Days.

Are we really surprised here? Apparently things weren't bad enough so they picked up a bargain basement CEO from a clearance bin. I can understand their process though.... Being sued for racial discrimination of course they were going to find the first man willing to be their token and hold him up like he's some kind of knockoff Simba.

Lol the one cat who wouldn't post this is Marvin. He hopes this gravy train goes on forever..And at 14 million a year, who can blame him? He has definately made a career demolishing companies.

Yep. It’s almost like indentured servitude where you take all you may learn and go somewhere where they pay you.
