Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Reminder of what’s coming - April HCL document

3 months have passed and many forgot the bigger picture

That, along with SO MANY who just don’t know or just don’t get it.

Talking to some service tech’s who make jokes about the woes of rebadged HCL employees as if it will never happen to them

Please review this HCL powerpoint from April as a reminder that this is happening to ALL OF US

I read a couple of comments about Service not being touched but that’s not accurate.

Over 100 Field Engineers were transitioned to HCL. The Field Engineering teams support all the Field Technicians, Specialists, and Analysts for Xerox Core, GIS, and ALL Partners. These people are far from front line repetitive job employees. They are highly skilled people that are the lifeline for the Field employees. Hardly what would be considered “easily replaceable” but what they truly are is “expensive” to the likes of JohnnyV, as all skilled people make more than minimum wage.

But if that team can go, what makes anyone else so valuable?

We are ALL replaceable in the new Xerox

Don’t kid yourself.

Xerox will dump you in a heartbeat to save ten dollars

That’s what you get for working in the Midwest. We miiiight start at $12/hour now. Doesn’t matter... they were all rebadged to HCL. I’m sad for them on two fronts. And yes, they have all their teeth.

$11/hour? That’s $23k per year. Do they have all their teeth?

Our people who take supply orders here do not make $20/hour! Our call takers start at $11.

If you take supply orders you are toast. Why would they pay you $20+ An hour when they can pay Jorge in Guatemala $2/hour?!

"Anyone connected to billing or supplies"

Can you elaborate?

Service did not and will not be rebadged. Anyone connected to billing and supplies say bye bye.

Service tech are ALL under Xerox direct/heritage now. It’s not obvious at a core level because their direct reports are still the same. But service VP’s or each cores equivalent now report to xerox direct, no longer reporting to each cores Presidents. This happened months ago. So no techs will go to HCL or worry about lay off (at this time). Xerox wants to keep sales and service. They will outsource everyone else completely by 2021.

I think this is what you're looking for: https://imgur.com/a/dDba8o7

I still take this to mean 90% of RE-BADGED employees will be eliminated, not 90% of all Xerox employees will be eliminated.

From everything I've read and heard, it's only certain departments/roles that are being rebadged to HCL. If you can show me something that says otherwise, I'd love to see it.

I think that other document you reference is actually a stat that talks about how 90% of the people being rebadged to HCL will be eliminated. I will see if I can find it.

There was another document that references a large percentage moved to HCL

(I thought it read something like 90%)

I took that as nearly all employees would be HCL with admin being outsourced

I was thinking that large a percentage included sales and service

I did not see anything in that presentation that shows service techs are part of the HCL rebadge plan

HCL can't get anything right!!! They can't get our time we've earned right in their system, they can't get backhires into the system, they have a "core champion" at each core, did you know they now make this person who does not work in HR approve all time cards and all vacation, sick requests etc for all badged employees at their core, why, because they are pawning all the responsibilities off on the cores, now because HCL s---s at getting new backhires at the cores, the "champion" now had to be the hiring manager and initiate all the rquests through the system to get log ins and access to the sites, my coworker is the champion at my core, she has to do all this extra work for no addional $, I honestly don't know how HCL has over 137,000 employees because they absolutely s---!!!!!! You wait, phase 1 of the core waves will go live and they'll mess everything up so bad that it will be a disaster!!! I already get calls multile times a week from a hindu speaking person trying to collect on invoices and I say everytime "you realize you are calling a dealer and not the customer right" , they are clueless, get ready for a sh-- show everyone because it"s coming!!!!

Right and for non-GIS/xBS, it’s worse- your jobs will be performed in the “nerve centers” (great asinine term) by others and you will not be allowed to fill those positions. If you move to Raleigh you will become enlightened to the overall strategy.

Thank you for reposting. It is important for the remaining employees to fully understand what will be happening to them in the very near future. Many are still holding on to the hope that they will flourish as rebranded HCL employees or possibly move into HCL management if they blow smoke up the right person's backside. They are all clueless and naive.
