Saddest part is many of us let decent jobs go just to get hired on with UP. Our Union isn't protecting our jobs by letting all these cuts go through either. Time for a national sick day!

Part of it is they just need them for peak times
They have to report a certain number of jobs created to meet federal regulations and labor law
Tax breaks and credit for jobs created. Don't make a damn bit of difference after that.
Arrogance mostly.
They hire people to fire them, keeps them in good practice. After all these Jackals have a reputation to keep!
