Tomorrow if the unions merge the seniority lists with SCX and RLS they are doing a disservice to the guys at RLS. Just because they are only 2 miles apart doesn't mean we should be on the same list. Each shop is their own entity, and it's not fair to most of the people at RLS. The #1 electrician could walk out at 3 tomorrow and be #31. Let's let it fall like it does and make the railroad do something if they want it done. Don't give them what they want.

Use spray nine, it says it can k--l it. Please use it and clean the bathrooms before you all get furloughed and we take over. Thank you!
All you SCX boys better hope the roster don’t merge, RLS has a bad AIDS breakout right now. I contracted it 3 days ago while taking my allotted 15 min p--p break. If I would’ve had 1 more min I could’ve probably washed it off but if you’re over 15 mins you get wrote up. This freakin s---s. What am I gonna do n..... hold up, I got a hot pocket in the microwave, I’ll brb
NS decided they only need one electrician at RLS. It will not be senority based but purely on skill. I think everyone knows who it's gonna be but nobody wants to come out and say it. Fine I'll say it, it's me
Hopefully it will be you and all your lies
200 cuts will be made in Roanoke area mech department before July 4 holiday
Lommy Tuck made mention on another post that about straight dovetail instead of a y.
We'll find out Monday. That's when NS will make the announcement about the shop merger
Hey Dodge guy GTFO. We can all tell you're way too overqualified for this .
Obviously the person that made the comment of removing the union id--ts from their job was not aware that we tried to do that because there was an election for those positions this month and about 40 people came to vote out of 190, so how can you make changes if people don't get involved to make the changes
O wow
Once again machinist union had meetings in Roanoke and those clueless id--ts didn't have any more information than anyone else. We pay them their salaries and all they can say is well we don't know anymore than we did the last 2 times we came. Local should have had a vote to get rid of them! Now I know why the company thinks we're all a bunch of uneducated monkeys
When you hire someone to work on your house your the boss. Your not going to let them tell you it's not fare what part of the house you want worked on. You work for Norfolk southern they don't work for you and if you don't like what they do get another job.
Oh well maybe track maintence has klondike bars....
We do have single serve homestead ice cream though. We get it right before our next fake injury.
No klondike bars here. Hard enough getting icey pops.
I'm all for not paying union dues altogether! Have always been useless unless you were sorry and got fired.
Does Shaffers have klondike bars?If so I'm all for the merger
Doesn't seem to be up for a vote, we have had many votes and it always gets voted down. I'm at SCX and have nothing to lose and everything to gain from a combined seniority list, but it's not right that the guys at RLS are getting screwed over.
Railroading 101, s--- it up butterrcup. At least you all have jobs for the time being .
I'm ready to merge these list we should have done it 7 years ago when the union tried to do it, that guy might be #31 but he would have a lot more under him plus which shop we got put at was just luck of the draw for most of us, since they were shared hiring sessions
I know it s---s for you guys and gals but take it from UP employee furloughed after 17 years that the Railroad or the Unions don’t care about you or your feelings. It just began for you folks. Good Luck.
They should start over with the seniority roster by experience. I’m a 7 year Dodge master tech. I should be closer to the top of the roster. I sacrificed $13.75/hr changing oil to come to the railroad with the intent of spreading my knowledge to others. I know more than a majority of people here! I’ll vote for the merging if and only if I get moved up, otherwise I may clean my lockers out and go back to a dealership.
Is it up for a vote? Do the workers have a choice or are they just going to do it anyhow?
The Union don’t give a sh-- about you. They just want their dues.
