Heard that photo was not supposed to be on block schedule...anyone know of this?

Photo Labs are on life support. Go to a Walmart and try to get an associate to help you with photos. Or Target for that matter as well.
Unless there is a Mom & Pop shop almost everywhere you are going to go to have photos developed are what are knowing as dry labs. Essentially you are paying someone to press the print button on the printer and out pops your photo. That is why it cost about a quarter or so to get a photo developed.
@oog I've also heard from both our Fuji and retail imaging tech that they have been complaining for monthes about this change and the lack of competent staffing at the clubs that are left. I know retail imaging has a contract in place that our techs boss says they are violating. At this point I wish our lab was closed just so we don't break anything or have the members have to deal with the lack of staffing. The few associates who were really experts in this department have all left not wanting to stock and run a lab for 2 hours.
Photo is gone in most Texas markets...
Photo is under the Merchandising Manager, Merchandising Team Leads and Merchandising Associates. All Merchandising Associates should learn how to run Photo or at least have morning and evening associates that can cover photo then a COS filling in from 12:30pm to 3:30pm. If this is not happening in your Club then the managers should answer the calls, or they will probably have the COS cover the calls.
Well I don’t work there anymore but Fuji tech guy told a former co worker that the photo dept were not supposed to be on block schedule and he was to report it to corporate I was just curious if anyone had heard anything and no I’m not naive to whoever said that it was just a question that’s what this forum is correct about questions so don’t be rude.

Since block scheduling started the Photo Lab is empty of associates. No one comes over when they call for help. At our club we have many complaints of members that will no longer be coming to our club due to this. We need to train the associates on the floor how to run the photo center.
It's supposed to be on block but not many people outside of technology associates know anything about the printers or processes. It really needs to become specialty soon before we burn that bridge.
You are now part of the floor merchandising team. Your are not included in the ancillary department

Our photo person is on 4 to 1230 with us. After that it's up to whoever can get over there when member assistance is paged.
