Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Is overtime gone??

Just coming on here to ask. Our GM told us corporate said no more overtime is allowed. I find this hard to believe with all the call offs we have with a already small crew. Have any of you heard anything like this?

Lots of OT at our club this past week. Managers are asking receiving to come in early and stay late to catch up on the backlog.

This is a decision made at the Club level.. as previously stated your club manager likely wans a bigger bonus and forbidding OT is probably one of the easiest ways for them to cut some expenses thus increasing their bonus.

Lots of OT at my club. If your shorthanded and your CM is not allowing it I can only imagine what your club looks like. Day stocking is bad enough on standards and being shorthanded on top is a nightmare. No need to worry about your CM him he will be fired.

OT is approved at the market level aka home office. If your club is considered "over on wages" the first thing cut is overtime.

The OT flows at our club with 35+ missing associates.

All overtime at our club is approved. If you want to work on your days off, then you can. We’ve had close to 30 associates quit and people are declining the job after their interviews because they don’t want the 3-11:30 shift. Supposedly, home office told our GM to do whatever it takes to keep this place running.

I've been told OT was approved. I've been going in on my days off.

After today it wouldn’t surprise me. First week of block scheduling and everyone FT scheduled 40 hours. I know of at least10 people who are 4 hours over . But haven’t heard anything yet. GMs are the biggest liars.
