Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Leads are facing retaliation

I am being retaliated against at my club from the assistant managers. Knit-picking and attempting to make the leads look bad. Barking all the time on the radio knowing that we are short staffed. I am documenting everything just in case. I was also told by assistant managers that my job and the other lead jobs should have been re interviewed for because of the big jump in pay. Really I took lead position that no one else wanted so it would be fair to throw me out of that position because now they know some of their jobs will be eliminated and with a pay raise they would take it??? Sams club does not operate by seniority. If you wanted seniority rights you should have gotten a union job. Sorry!

Fresh team Lead in NV. Getting paid almost $25 and hr. The Fresh managers are the one's who bark and don't do the work. I've reported them to HO several times. If you get enough associates to complain to HO and the state, changes will come.

If a manager steps down at Sam's Club now they start over at $11 per hour. No more credit for years of service, etc. If a manager steps down to team lead it is $18 per hour, no credit for years of service or time as a manger.

Wal-Mart finally woke up. If a Sam's manager steps down and goes to Walmart they will take a significant hit in pay. If they step down at Sam's its a very small cut. I know because I did it a few months ago. I would have lost over 7 dollars an hour going to Walmart as a department manager.

They should have done re-interviews. These loser a-- COS's we have only got the job in the first place cuz at the time no one wanted it (cuz of the sh--ty job for sh--tier pay). Now you bump up the pay by a ton... and they just fall in it.... while not stepping up their game, still doing nothing... worked for the company less than 2 years and almost make as much as me, at the same level and been there 16 years. Wtf.

A women at our club came back from maternity leave and was promoted from COS to team lead in produce and got a $10.00 pay increase, are you kidding me. So far since they walk by my dept. a lot she hasn't done a darn thing , and every time I have to go to the back to bail boxes or take something to claims she's been doing nothing but talking. That dept. looks like trash, produce stacked on the floor all day and I do mean all day. Earn your money , this is a place of work after all. My team lead wanted the job because of the money but they gave it to her instead, now he is trying to transfer out of our club to become a manager until another job he applied for opens up, not with Sams! I hate to lose him because he keeps and eye on everyone and breaks up there group talking and screwing around. He got slapped in the face on his pay raise that's why he is p-ss-d, don't blame him. Give the money to someone who actually works ,but that's not the Sams way. REWARD THE LOSERS!!!

On another thread, they said assistant managers could not step down to leads. Our manager tried and they told him no. He's going to Wal-Mart.

Managers cannot step down in the same club. They'll have to go to another club if they decide to step down
