After 15 years, BNYM has decided to close down an entire department of about 55 employees. Many employees have been with the company for several years and now they have to face a major life change. The overall atmosphere in this company is extremely unstable and unreliable. People should be very cautious about considering working this bank as you may be out of the job at any time.

Wonder how many displaced Orlando workers will be able to leverage their vast experience in dealing with total unreality into Disney Imagineer careers...
"Reduced benefits, constant layouts, extreme insecurity, terrible morale. "
What benefits were reduced? I only noticed increased healthcare deduction. Everything else was the same for me in 2019 (I recently left the company, found another job).
I would bet those jobs were outsourced.
Was this all at once without warning? Are they exiting or selling the business? Has business slowed down?
There has to be more to the story, you can't just absorb the workload of 55 people, unless the area has several hundred in other locations, or business has fallen off by a lot. It just makes no sense...
BNY Mellon -> Orlando -> Disney -> "nightmare-land"
Westborough isn't going anywhere. In fact, some business units have actually been moved from other locations to Westborough.
VOYA Contact 1-800-584-6001 OR 1-800-947-4748 (BNY Mellon)
Good Luck to everyone.
BNY Westborough is a pretty useless location too. Maybe they will be next.
How will the newly displaced Orlando workers access their 401K? www.bnymellon401K.com has been down for 4 days. Maybe an HR worker in Orlando had the Voya support representative’s phone number?
Hopefully getting SUB and transition assistance?
Good luck!
Any chance Disney is hiring? They seem to be expanding, and might be a better company for work than BNY that is shrinking.
Agree: BNY so unstable, not a reliable place for workers. Reduced benefits, constant layouts, extreme insecurity, terrible morale.
Productivity decreasing and BNY wonders why.
BNY Mellon: WORST PLACE TO WORK.

If you are considering BNY, make sure you have no better choice.
-
If you are at BNY, flee at the soonest possible opportunity.

If you were at BNY, be relieved to be out of this mess, at a better job or on SUB for a break before your better job. :- )

What team?
