Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Favortism Running Rampant

Things have not changed for the club I work in. Managers still playing games and promoting their pets. Our club has lost at least 8 people. All have found great new jobs. We lost front end leads and the positions were secretly opened and people promoted behind the backs of others who were interested but were not given the chance to put in for the job. Managers were asked about how to navigate in Workday and all of them said they did not know. Does anyone know how to change your preferences, take the assessment for a lead position in Workday? How is someone expected to know about openings if the management keeps it under wraps?

Thanks to the person who sent the instructions for Workday. Is it true you cannot take the assessment unless there is requisition for a position (i.e. MSS)? Can managers fast track their "pets" into these positions? I was literally lied to by two managers when I asked for help. One said they didn't know to help me. I found out later that the same manager helped fast track a person behind the scenes and that person is now a new MSS. The other 2 also got special treatment...does not seem fair or ethical.

If you are not the pet you are going nowhere. Two people that went part time because of the block schedule and were going to leave got the cos jobs. And nobody else was even given a chance that was going to stay. How is that even right?

Go to "me" click on the career link. Then click on the Sam's club rectangle. The put in a zero followed by you store numbers in the search. The find what you want and apply. Everyone has to put in an application and pass a test. I had to in order to go from part time to full time, even though I'd been working that same job for years.

This sounds like my club 4846 in mentor, ohio. Leads making so much money and regular associations making alot less and they are the ones doing all the work.

Your club lost 8 people...ours lost over 30. Club looks like a mess. Pallets all over the place on sales floor with member having to navigate around them to shop. Runs are empty, maybe 5 to 8 associates in 4am shift to stock out over 50 pallets. What a clusterfuk!
