I know people are going to say “check the official numbers” but I highly doubt that those numbers are even close to reality. With all the layoffs and little lor non hirings I imagine an army of workers are no longer with the company. Anyone have any idea what the real number of employees is today?

49,100 down from 52,000 in mid-2018.
Earnings should be in the next couple of weeks. I believe headcount is required reporting.
The closer they can get that number to zero the better it will be for the stock price
48,700 in July 2019
As of 12/31/2018: 49,800. That’s down from a high about 55,000. Maybe less now, but they are hiring experience in the newer technologies as they lay off workers in the older technologies. (We might not hear much about that, since most of us are not in technology.)
