Rejected pto

I requested some Fridays off all of them have been rejected .I have 160 hours of pto. What the heck. There is coverage if I'm working. Can pto be rejected for every request. It's not my fault that we are so short of help.

It is called RESQUESTED time off..... Not GUARANTEED time off... You are not guaranteed the time off you ask off from that’s why it’s called requested..

This is an opposite issue at our club, they approve any and all Vaca. What's this? 3 people in the same department put in for the same time off? Only leaving 1 associate to work the week? APPROVED!

Vacation was asked for and the pet with unpaid time off got the time off. So having vacation time does not matter. Its all sbout being the PET.

Managers are supposed to work time off request within seven days, most don't. To the person asking for Fridays off, are you asking for every Friday off, especially over the summer months? Even with PTO this will be denied. In our Club vacation request, PTO, week at a time is usually approved first. Do not put in for PTO for every weekend off over the summer, it is not going to be approved, it does not matter how long you have been with the company. it is not fair to your coworkers. Vacation request will be approved before unpaid time off request. If you need time off use your vacation days.

Some get PTO approved and others dont. It depends on who you are and if you are a PET or not. Some get time off unpaid if you are a PET, and others who have PTO get it denied as they are not the PET. Each person asking for same time off, and who do you think got the time off?

I requested a time off two and a half months before I was to use the time, my request was never denied so I purchased airline tickets. A week before departure I sent a reminder. The next day they scheduled me for a single day smack dab in the middle of my trip. Needless to say, I did not alter my plans

Call out and use your PPTO. That is automatically approved. No points.

Go to ethics. LOL. In a company that just paid $282 million to settle and try to quiet an international bribery scandal?

Ethics! LMAO!!

I always have to hound management to get any days off. I usually tell them about it, get the verbal ok, put the time in and bug them like crazy to go in and approve it. Even then, 80% of the time they still reject it. Then I have to go back and tell them again that these are the days that they agreed to let me have. They blame a different manager for rejecting it, the other manager says they were told to reject it. I end up having to put in for it again and eventually I get them approved. It is way more hassle then it should be. But that's another part of management not doing anything for their associates. This place is a disgrace to work for now.
