Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

GIS/XBS core check in

What’s going on at your core? Is HCL on site? Mergers? What’s morale and atmosphere like? Turnover? If you’re comfortable, state your core and what’s going on.

@ZWylpqB-3laz - you misread the statement: All the managers at my core WHO are the leaders of HCL, not all the managers are...

Post ID: @axwi+ZWylpqB

4shu is correct, each core has a "core champion", they have to approve all timecards, leave requests and have calls once per week with HCL to address issues and also have to help gather all data they need about the core

I know cause I got stuck doing this because my manager or hr dept or any other manager was not badged over, I have to do all this extra stuff, I was never asked to do it I was just told I had to and I do it so my coworkers will get paid

By HCL Leaders, I mean they are called Leads that report directly to HCL. Theres a super lead at each core followed by leads. Any questions regarding HCL, pay, benefits, etc get reported to the leads and they take it up to the super lead who then is in direct contact with HCL.

@grateful

"offering" is not a guarantee

There is no annual raises, ever!!! you are eligible for a performance bonus, you are eligible not guaranteed

If you seriously think HCL is doing anything out of the kindness of their heart then I have some swamp land to sell you

They are using us, they sent people to learn our jobs who have no f'n clue as to what we do, they have others back in guatemala waiting for their return so they can amp up the training, these same people waiting make $5 an hour

and are currently learning english

HCL promises the world to clients and will NOT deliver

Am I grateful, hell no, I am collecting a salary I have earned and will take every penny I can!!!!

All the managers at your core are leaders at HCL? That statement is delusional.

Post ID: @3laz+ZWylpqB

Youre delusional if you believe HCL isnt going to screw you out of the "rentention" bonus or severance. Its been said HCL will send us a confirmation our jobs are no longer needed, offer us a new position somewhere else in the US, and when we say we cannot take that job posting, that will give them all the more reason to let your sorry butt go with nothing guaranteed.

All the managers at my core who are the leaders of HCL need to stop with the BS. We are not long for this company. And anyone who thinks we will still be employed next year is insane. They will follow those leaked PP's to a T. We will all be getting notices by the end of the month or early next.

There is nothing to be grateful for. This is a job to pay the bills, not a family anymore.

Let’s recap:

HCL IS matching our 401k

HCL IS offering a retention bonus

HCL IS offering better benefits

HCL IS offering an annual salary increase if you are still employed April 1st

HCL IS offering additional time off

Yes, Xerox screwed up and gave us away but I refuse to bad mouth the company that is currently paying my bills. HCL didn’t take my job away from Xerox; Xerox gave my job away and nothing is changing that. At least I have money coming in and time to look for a better paying position.

I am GRATEFUL for the moment

It has never been explained (at least not at our core) what, if any, severance is offered. I know Xerox had a severance package, but I've never heard of it outside of that. I'd ask our HR, BUT WE DON'T HAVE THEM ONSITE ANYMORE. Grrr...

by

severence based on years worked

minimum is 2 weeks paid

maximum is 8 weeks paid

“Be greatful we were given an opportunity for a bonus and severance instead of just being let go with nothing on April 1.” Does someone have more details on the severance?

Post ID: @3iqf+ZWylpqB

The only thing I would have been grateful for is to have been given the choice for severence and unemployment on April 1st

but the b--tards at Xerox even took that option away

@2gqe

Grateful???????

To be screwed over by Xerox!

To be badged over to HCL

To be denied any future raises

To be screwed out of my 401k match

To watch my coworkers who are like family lose their jobs snd benefits

To be lose my job security and everything I've busted my a-- for over the years

The last thing I am is grateful

I am p-ss-d off !!!!!

A stupid bonus won't make up for the misery that Xerox and HCL have created

HCL Champion here. We have not been told to write up anyone for lateness or unexcused absence however, why would anyone think it’s OK to produce such behavior? Acting as though you are careless about coming in on time or at all is selfish and childish behavior. It is not a said excuse to believe HCL will not pay our bonus. Grow up. Quit looking for loop holes. Be greatful we were given an opportunity for a bonus and severance instead of just being let go with nothing on April 1.

RK Dixon does not have HCL on site. We are documenting processes, though. our corporate office is starting to feel like a ghost town.

Cores, please update on the HCL visits going on, we have people from Guatemala, it's borderline comical as they know nothing, they were sent with no agendas, no docs, and most of all no clue!!?

They stated they have teams waiting back in Guatemala to learn and take our jobs!

These are the same people who f---ed up the billing so bad for Xerox direct which is one of the reasons we are all in this situation

HCL you ever hear the saying "you get what you pay for", oh you're in for a real treat!!!!

New president to be (35 years with company) resigned to work at a copier dealership in another state. Current President was retiring and handing over the keys. He spent last several months telling people why they should not leave?!?! A blind man can see this writing on the wall.

I highly doubt we’ll ever see the hcl retention bonuses. A rebadged hcl person was put in charge of timekeeping for all other hcl employees here at our core. That person works with our core non-rebadged HR which is odd. We were informed hcl will begin writing people up for lateness and unexcused absence which leads us all to believe they’re simply looking for loopholes they can use to not pay out the bonuses and possibly deny us unemployment once they let us go.

Our core president is useless. Just trying to protect his job more than anything. Poor at communication and only concerned with sales.

COTG, you mentioned the announcement last week. What announcement are you referring to?

Most of the core presidents are a joke with multiple sales VP’s under them at bloated salaries.

Isnt the July bonus only for Xerox? If you are rebadged to HCL you wont be receiving it. Multiple people posted about waiting for the July bonus but if you are getting that you would still be Xerox and not affected by the offshore to Guatemala.

Or are people talking about the HCL retention bonus? Although I believe that isnt for atleast 6 months from hire date.

sad days here at COT for sure. it s---s even worse that our president said in late december at a meeting with everyone that we would all be ok going forward since we had a bunch of big deals coming down. he is nothing more than a used car salesman. he has no business leading a company as he has never known when to keep his mouth shut always making promises to everyone that he cannot keep. people made purchasing decisions and other financial moves based on this statement. the dumb--s should be sued. the announcement last week was the final straw for many on my team. we had a little bit of hope that things could still be ok yet that is now gone. everyone is crushed and sending our resumes out. should have done this months ago. they can keep their little bonus and choke on it.

@COTG, I'm so sorry about what is happening there and I know our turn is coming, we have HCL at our core now, they are clueless to say the least, they think they are going to learn 5 areas in 5 weeks when they don't know anything about anything, omg!!!!!!

RKD. Just lost our vp of operations. We no longer have onsite HR. On the flip side, a top sales rep came back. I am clueless as to why that would be. Morale is a mixed bag. Overall, not great. Depends on who you talk to though.

For finance here at COT things could not be worse. AR lost 80% of team, Special billing 100%, contracts 80%. Mngt scrambling to move bodies around to cover the work. morale at an all time low now that HCL finally admitted all our jobs are gone in november. Expecting a mass exodus once the bonuses are paid out. people here hate corporate leadership and HCL for wrecking our company and global. sales teams growing upset with the lack of office support and prospects of dealing with barely english speaking dipshits in Guatemala that know nothing.

If this isn't happening yet in your cores, just wait.

Ours is business as usual. Moral is back up and sales is bouncing back after the core shake up. No word on any HCL issues with admin. Sales and service are solid
