Just a logical question, I suppose. The fact is that locomotives that are in operation are barely maned as it is. Many put out of operation. Guess that UP will have to hire more employees if it ever wants to put all of its resources in operation. We all know that’s never gonna happen, right?

Cut up the steam engines too.

Didn’t realize they ever left the rails
Don’t forget the “stored ready” units that on paper are stored but actually aren’t
There all c-ap units that are no longer under warranty being stored......they'll never being them back
