I am a meat lead and I told my FM no I'm not going to do it i would rather step down
This new Schedule is bs they don't pay enough to be a cutter let alone put up with all the new bs every ware els pays far better for cutters

Stop crying Im never getting a weekend off and now I see my family less than 30 minutes a day. They moved us off nights and im stuck on the afternoon shift and when I get home my family is asleep and before they get home after work and school I am back at work so go cry somewhere else. You wont survive pushing carts thats actual hard work and unfortunate for you they dont have that b---s--- belt program that kind of played out. Yall all thought you were so special so now how does it feel when the shoe is on the other foot. You do realize when you go to carts you will get last pick on days off so go for it. You seem to be very high on yourself so go get you one of those higher paying jobs thats out there.

If you are so in demand, why are you wasting time complaining about how bad the company is, but how great your particular meat department is? Run along little boy, run along already! I guarantee you didn’t complain when the fresh belt program came out and your department would be one of the few areas that would make substantially more money with experience. I am happy for my fellow associates if they get to make more money, good for them, it means next to nothing in my life. However, I have little patience for people who complain after they originally had a better work situation, only to have it change. FFS get over it, are you still 11 years old and pouting because the coach told you that you could pitch every game, but now you have to play right field?

The fresh leads are making out in this new scheduling deal. Rotating days off, sat, sun, then a three day weekend once a month!??? Oh boo hoo you have to close one extra night, at least it's only until 9 unlike those poor folks who have to work all weekend and until 11:30pm!!!!
At least you get a weekend off a month.. everyone else has to work every weekend.. tell me how that's fair
@cgk I think he knows that and doesn't care. The same point the rest of us are getting to. Other companies pay meat cutters a lot more than Sam's does. If I could make more elsewhere I would do it too. Instead of constantly putting up with Sam's and their yo yo changes. I would get out for more money also.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 That comment right there tells me you've never so much as picked up a knife or ever disassembled a bandsaw and as for what markets pay I had an offer 17.00 at a Spartan store that I Didn't take because the schedule they told me I was getting was better and on a side note my departments one of best in my market allows above market Average stop bringing God into this if the company is always does what's best for It's self Time for me to look out for myself they've taken enough they Stole our sick pay And our personal time Big gyp the son pay raises by going to 2% now it takes about 5 years to get a dollar raise instead of 3 Added endless more responsibilities with no increase of pay I've had enough I've been given in a way to easy probably like the rest of us actual meat cutters
Sorry to tell you it does not take that long to. Train someone to cut meat. Meat if you are as qualified as you say you are put yourself in the outside market and see what they pay. Reading is fundamental when you sign the sheet about what was promised it tells you in black and white your schedule is subject to change. Also if you have time to respond your store must not be that busy. Remember God is love think about your coworkers and not self all the time. We all have families 🤪😡
Why would I quit Company still desperately needs Experienced cutters why do you think they were forced to do Vine because they dont pay enough to keep experienced cutters sure you can hire someone no problem But it takes about a year to train a smart person to do the cuts and about 2 years for them to get fast at it no I want a set Schedule like they promised the same as everyone else gets
I read a lot complaining on the post about meat and bakery leads having to rotate their schedule, but no one was complaining when produce and prepared food leads were closing every night. Guess what at our clubs all our fresh leads close two nights a week anyway. We all have families we would like to spend time with and our spouses work and sometime you have to adjust your family life for your JOB. If you are not willing quit or step down just remember some of your money will be taken away. Remember we all have families stop be selfish God is love.
Lol one 3 day weekend a month Doesn't make up for the kloepping are the rotating schedule how can our spouses get a job around our hours and our wife do need to work if you have a family They don't pay us enough at least not us long term associates I talked to team leads with 0 experience in meat department making $18 an hour not doing it I'd rather go to carts and watch my meat department burn out of Spite
Blame the produce and prepared food leads. They cried until thier schedule got changed screwing over the meat and bakery leads.
Why do all the other departments and lead positions shifts go by seniority but when it comes to the fresh leads our seniority means nothing!!! I am a 20yr associate and this is the worst schedule I’ve ever had!! I’ll be calling home office today
