They are keeping 3rd shift overhaul line right now. They doubled there output for this month and continuing months and 2nd shift and 3rd shift are already far behind due to lack of workers. On 2nd shift they have a total of 2 machinist between the 5 stages(bays) 2 pipefitters 1 boilermaker, still have a handful of electricians

Hey GFY apparently you aren't a railroader at JLS.

Laborers can upgrade to craft, and retain their rights and bump back when displaced.

And once they do that the next wave of layoffs will come.

And they picked yesterday to do these layoffs to screw guys out of Memorial Day holiday and vacation

You sure your not a company s---.

"I heard your unions let scabs rebuild the whole facility are any of them furloughed who's running that union anyway"

The company hired contractors per the contract agreement no "scabs" off the street. When the company hires contractors agreement can do we make a claim to arbitration broad as per national contact.

Really if you are not a railroader or don't understand an FRA enforced contact step the f... off.

"After all the craft layoffs make their bump back to laborer, then they will make that cut for 4th of July holiday. They sure do like to screw guys out of vacation and holidays."

What the hell are you talking about?

Craft back to laborer?

Management can go back to Craft that is about it, laid off craft is on the street today.

Are you even a railroader?

Half of management at JLS would not even be missed. Ridiculous to cut all the craft workers before management. Supervisor expects you to find problem, then find the parts you need to fix said problem, and if you need anything from them forget it. What a joke this place is. Just sad we are building our lives and families around these jobs.

What union, the T.W.U is sitting around licking there nuts right about now on this one. For to long we have been lied to about what goes on in are local unions. those that call themselves President have used their positions to better themselves now look we have people on the street. And of course they know nothing about it because they don't do there job and represent us.

Eliminating 27 track and motherland and third shift minus shed. 4 10s on the table again.

Info session for those laid off. Union heads are probably doing a great job helping the affected
