As the pipes get bigger the screens get bigger, the processor get faster, the developers write bigger apps..etc. like moore’s Law for wireless. Eventually 4g will be too slow to support OE devices

When will you id--ts realize 5G has nothing to do with the f---ing phones? 4G isn't going away anytime soon.

"Dial up does everything I need! "
Dial up? Who needs that. I write a letter (and have it delivered by stagecoach if it is urgent). All this "telecom" nonsense!
5 GHHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I don't want to work at a company with people who think technology as it exists today is good enough.
For most users, 5G is unneeded; especially with the not so large increase in delivered bandwidth to the phone. Line of sight applications is where it will shine, past that it will not deliver much more than 4g and at an increased cost to the consumer.
But the market loves hype as does a company that wallers in debt and service payments for that debt.
With the Sprint/T-Mobile merger underway it will be interesting to see just how low Verizon will have to price their product in order to keep customers. People do not need the best network to be anywhere but where they live and the Sprint/T-Mobile merger will bring that awareness to many Verizon customers.
When a company has to cut employees, divisions, services to continue to pay a larger than necessary dividend....then that company is in serious trouble. Debt is great when one wants to avoid a hostile takeover but is bad when one has aggressive competition.
I would love to have 5G, but at a price comparable to 4G maybe 10-20% more
you sound old as f--- or out of touch. repeat this statement for every previous generation and think about where technology is in comparison.
3g was great. It wasn’t till streaming Netflix away from home that I’d need 4g but that isn’t a lot of the time.
The things they show for 5g just don’t have meaning for a cell phone for me. Maybe to replace cable at home but not something away from home.
I was fine with 3g
I sure as hell dont need 5g either! To the person who said you do ..sales? Haha
Dial up does everything I need! Why pay more for broadband? They're just trying to bleed you dry by selling you something no one needs!
You need 5g, it is amazing technology!
