Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Are intensified layoffs at some part of the company and indication that that part is going to be sold off?

Can we apply that logic, and is it realistic to apply that scenario? Seems logical to me, cutting more in the parts that are going to be sold as they want to make that entity more attractive to sell. Did this thought cross the mind of anyone else on this board?
