Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

Is anything happening these days?

Anything happening in the context of layoffs? God a little quiet on this board in the last couple of days and I can’t see any symptoms of cuts at my workplace. Has everything really quieted down?

WFT Aberdeen is advertising for a HR position. Take from that what you will.

Layoffs have begun. In my region they are starting with people who have been with the company 30+ years and brought a lot to the table still. No one is safe,.. watch your back, cross your T’s and dot your I’s. This week alone I’ve personally seen a handful of guys with anywhere from 15 to 32 get the HR visit.

Enforced furlough in place and guys being told to stay at home on a need to know basis, all very stealth and one on one so as not to create alarm. Guys being made to consume all accrued vacation, and inter company lending of guys being being done only as a last resort. Q2 results are worse than Q1 so I agree, at the end of June the axe is gonna fall. Hopefully half or more of management get the chop but as usual it probably won’t happen. Management scurrying around like rats trying to cook the books to squeeze out another unearned bonus. That’s all they have ever cared about and that’s why Weatherford is going through it’s death throes.

RIF list put in place already, names have been identified and put forward to GBU & HR. Axe set to fall end of June.

My only wish is most Gbus and segment leaders are named also for the good of WS and the rest on the segments

Yeah I noticed too all these posts on social media from the various management clowns trying their best to put some spin on the overall situation. They must have gotten orders from Weatherford’s propaganda dept to big it up. Don’t they think everyone knows Weatherford is in the sh-- because of them ? Bunch of damn fools.

Yeah I've noticed a lot of that on LinkedIn. Everything is great and WFT will be back stronger than ever. Ummm then why did you go bankrupt in the first place??? It's still the same company with the same unprofitability!

This is what is happening right now:

Providers flooding WFT offices trying to get their services and products paid. They now the fat lady is singing already.

Desperate employees, sending resumes left and right.

Managers putting a tons of lipstick to the ugly and ill pig. They have been directed to post in linkedin that all is going to be fine, that WFT has no debt. What a whole bunch of mo--ns.
