If you look at detailed day buying chart on Yahoo you can see volume and buyback spikes.

R&D is so old fashioned better to move stock with flick of finger. Accounting jobs probably secure. Engineering not so much at Big O.

Bad blood and equally bad investments - he desperately needs to make sure that oracle stock doesn’t sink any further or he’ll lose it to collateral calls.

Today most companies do shares buybacks, included Berkshire Hathaway ; because market is too expensive to buy companies

LE could care less about oracle beyond supporting the share price so he does they margin calls on his personal loans for which his oracle shares provide the collateral. No more investments in new oracle products, all cash flow goes to share buybacks. The end!
