According to 2 senators for Oregon the people laid off from Hinkle can transfer, Funny that I was laid off and the Union Rep told me because they are not completely closing there will be no transferring....so who's full of it the 2 senators or our wonderful union rep ? Taking a poll now

Work is never mooved! train yards being shut down once all in line at main yards cuts to half of employees in management will happen there also, along with train crews and conductors pull your head out of the RR kookaid come up for air, managers are being used for now until all is set ready for next round 😊

Agree with last post dumping ground for brains that just didn’t quite form correctly. Anything goes in Oregon d--gs are ok, p--n on every corner sh-t schools and tons of emoral freaks every where you look but they can’t figure out why they have highest s--c-de rate in nation and d--g overdose and usage and homeless population??? Portland is a freak show. Kind of a subset of the Democratic National Convention. Island of misfit toys. Didn’t get to sit at the cool table or weren’t smart enough to be rich tech nerds, so they’re all freaks joined together in what was a beautiful city.

Running repair work does not transfer. If you was in a back shop and your work was being sent to another location, then yes, you'd be offered a transfer. In the case of Hinkle, no transfers.
Hinkle will shut down sooner or later. When they do if you name is on the books you will get to dovetail in. Take your unemployment, the closure is soon.
Why don’t you call the editor and tell him and let UP say on the record you can’t transfer?
They aren't doing anyone a favor and letting them transfer. Its my right according to the agreement. Yours may be different though. You can follow the work. Wherever they are sending it to and dovetail in. If you have a lot of seniority it may be worth it.
File a grievance with the union, they are trying to d--k you around. Besides Portland has a lot of dip sh--s that have no clue how to fix a locomotive.
