Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

GM will be bankrupt in less than 10 years, again!

Having bean counters run the show and NOT listening to customers is the end of GM. Look at the stock price, nothing is changing.

Oh the irony, and ignorance.

I was there on the 2nd floor tower when Rick Wagner said we're fine, we aren't going bankrupt. I said give it six months, and I was wrong, it was nine.

I was there for Delphi, Steve Miller I believe it was. Brought in to reorg, I knew they'd be bankrupt within six months, and was right.

MB, doing some crazy azz stuff right now, at the height of the economy. She has the money banked, and she's light years ahead of Rick. To pull the 180 as quickly as she did, should be a tell for everyone. I was sitting, mid transformation at the VEC. This women is spooked by what you folks can not yet see. I suspect something, something you will see materialize in 2020.

Maybe I'll go only 2/3 instead of 3/3. If I'm right, these layoffs will be just getting started, envision 2008, time two. By that I mean she preemptively did a big cull. Why is it hard to believe there won't be another? I hope I'm wring too.

2001 recession was bad. 2008 was worse. 20XX. will be even worse. Stockpile a year of wages is all I can advise.

And you think no automaker can go bankrupt? Last recession almost took away two of them.

It would be comical if they became the sacraficial lamb in pursuit of these AV/EVs.

Split up the market share, let the others strengthen their positions.

I'm game.
