Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Are plants in the US in as much danger of closing as one of the offices are?

Consolidating the offices is a much easier process then allocating production, I know, but is there a similar plan in play for the production facilities? Do we have to be afraid of plant closures in the sense that there is some planned strategy of allocating the production in play? Thoughts?

Well, there is some truth to what this guy is saying. If there is a pattern of abuse, then it is important to highlight that toxic behavior and toxic environment so that we weed out such trash from this country.

It is important for employees to step up and highlight unethical behavior by management in a company. It seems like employees are complaining about toxic work conditions, threats, harassment, emotional stress etc. as tactics being used by the management. This is a legal issue that needs to be addressed and the more the people remain silent, the more bold these toxic managers become and it creates such a culture.

Such cultures have no place in this country and it should be brought to everyone's attention. Maybe Honeywell should pick up and leave the USA. It's time to stop making the employees the victims. Their time, energy, intelligence, emotions, trust, faith and goodwill is being exploited so that others can collect their bonus? If this is done through intimidation and dirty tactics by bending laws and good will, then it is time to unify those complaining voices and throw Honeywell out of this region.

I always find these discussions about how badly we are being treated and how we should organize extremely amusing. About 30 years ago I was complaining about my job and was told "if you don't like it leave!". So I found another job and left. This philosophy has worked very well for me. If I'm not happy, I put my energy into finding a new job. I don't waste my time complaining. Who wants to listen to someone whining anyway.

Mention your woes to the local labor representative at the DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC SECURITY and write to Governor Ducey (for Arizona) about the psychological trauma that you are experiencing at work in an open LETTER (by TWITTER and MAIL) with a generic name (protecting identity) as a CITIZEN of the USA. Ask, other H-employees to endorse it and organize yourselves without a union that way.

https://des.az.gov/contact

https://azgovernor.gov/

Find your local state governor

This way, you can get around the Union bureaucracy and woes. Less, the union stigma and bad rep. Stick to the DES (Economic security) and Gov. Ducey's Office and watch back to see the results.

Write to newspapers and news outlets from an anonymous source. Explain to them your slave conditions and your emotional and mental harassment for OT. Also, write to the department of labor.

https://www.dol.gov/general/contact/contact-phone-topics

If you write to the AZ Governor and also get it published in a newspaper and the local internet through twitter, then it brings the attention to the harassment you are facing in the company. You have to learn to shine the spotlight on the vermin managers who feel emboldened to harass and threaten because no one is watching, recording and reporting them for emotional harassment, intimidation and toxic behavior.

Even the Governor will feel compelled to take action as his constituents are watching. He does not get re-elected, if he does not help you.

You can choose to be a coward, or be the HR shill trying to sway public opinion over here and prevent people from organising or STEP UP, MAN UP and SPEAK UP for your rights and have nothing to lose. Choose and decide.

If you choose the safe space way, then shut up and stop whining and accept your humiliation because you deserve it. If you choose the courageous way, then KUDOS to you for sticking out for your rights and pushing back on these vermin insects who think they are lions sitting in that corporate management chair.

Decide and ACT before it is TOO late and these vermins will get away with lies, deceit, robbery, theft, breach of trust, faith and fair trade practice!!!

DECIDE NOW. You've allowed yourself to be PUSHED so far. Now it is time to PUSH BACK and PUSH BACK VERY HARD and STRONG. ORGANIZE and PROTECT YOUR FUTURE AND INTERESTS !!!

There is an specific site reduction goal for each SBG in each area for 2019. Office space for example is a 50 site reduction by December. ISC is around 35 sites but I don't recall the SBG splits of that 35. R&D also has a site target and Engineering too but I don't recall the numbers. Announcements of he sites will trickle out to stay out of the newspapers. It will probably accelerate once managers finish succession planning by June 14th in parallel with your career discussions. Managers will be asking if you are "mobile" and if not you won't be on the succession plan

Big changes revealed a little at a time.... death and demoralizing by a thousand cuts

As stated in my post last weekend about MIP reductions and plant closures, this has been in the works starting 5 years ago. MM only wants to have 7 Aerospace sites left when it is all complete. He is very aggressive in trying to meet this objective. The goal is to reduce 50% of the sites within the next 2 years. Looking at small sites now which most of us do not even know exist unless we work at them. Sorry for the bad news but this is factual just like the MIP reductions/eliminations which started the day after my post.

Plants are definitely in danger...ask Coon Rapids and Albuquerque. But the bigger danger might be that MM is going to transfer all of ISC to Celestica...ask Toronto and Tucson.

Dodging cuts is temporary Urbana. Proximity will allow productions techs to cover multiple machines. Admin people will decrease, IT people will decrease. Rest assured that no move would have occurred unless there were fixed cost sufficient for a 12 month ROI.

I suggest selling a LOT more light bulbs quick.

Urbana is in the process of combining two plants into one (the plants were in the same city). No jobs lost, and Honeywell is investing quite a bit of $$$ for the move. It’ll be a tight fit, but we dodged the cuts this time around.
