Walmart has long held the position of the worst company in America to work for. Their pay and unfair treatment of the employee was known nation wide. It became a national problem for this giant retailer. They were having problems getting anyone to apply, or if they were lucky enough to hire someone, that employee quit as soon as they could.
In 2015 Walmart made a national statement saying all minimum wage was increasing. This was in the hopes of reversing the constant salary cuts over the years. They learned the lesson that it takes bodies in the store to make money....
Amazon, in 2018 raised all minimum wage to 15.00 per hour in the hopes of reversing the bad name they were fast getting in the retail business.
Lowe's needs to realize this policy of cutting salaries and hours with unreasonable work shifts has been tried before and has failed.
Lowe's is becoming this retailer that no one wants to work for. They will learn just like the others, your employee base is your greatest asset. Without the employee running the stores you may as well close the doors.
Walmart is still considered the worst company in America to work for. With their low wages that still do not keep up with economic inflation and cost of goods. I see the trouble the stores are having just to get anyone to apply.
I wonder how long this will continue at Lowe's or if they will realize their mistake before it's to late..
