Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

There is life after GM

I was laid off in February and I had trouble sleeping Before & After the fact. I'm now at a new job making a little less money but then before but the work environment is so much better. I'm sleeping better, Feeling better, and haven't been happier in years.

There is life after GM. Your situation does not sound ideal and I hope you're able to get some peace of mind. For me, Getting laid off was the best thing that's happened to me in years.

Best of luck and I hope everything goes well for you

Some encouraging words from @ZgfkpY6-hus that I thought belnged on top.

Just out of curiosity, where did you find a job and is it automotive related?

Laid off from GM in September 2009. Moved to Illinois but most of my family is still in Michigan. I moved because I felt the automotive industry was changing and it might be 10 years before it fully recovered. Very glad that I made the move. Don't let the Big Three drive your car. Get in your car and drive to the next opportunity.
