Ironic but there seems to be so much disruption that there can less stress. No one actually expects to get anything done any more. Less expectation, less stress.
When BNY started these layoffs some years ago, some remaining people were stressed filling in for those let go. This was very stressful for those people, and for morale in general. We don’t like good people let go, or kept and stressed.
Now, so many are gone and so many are doing double or triple jobs, there is no point being stressed. We simply cannot do our jobs, period. All we can do is show up for work, put in our eight hours, and go home. Not much stress in that.
If we are BE at working in this environment, that is a further insult but exactly what to expect from BNY, who seems to delight in such opportunites to hurt their workers.
Up side, maybe some will get let go with packages. Meanwhile, we are just about all looking for a better place to work. Because - guess what, BNY! - we actually like to be productive and have accomplishments but we can no longer do that HERE.
Good luck to us all.
