Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Merchandising Service Supervisors

Merchandising Service Supervisors are next to go. They are trying to get the In store merchandising employees to work off an app. It will all be coordinated from the MSM. Be prepared, writing is on the wall. Corporate communications don't even mention MSS in them. Its obvious they are bypassing them. After MSS hire up and train new employees they will terminate them.

Bumped from @VT4WMBq-3ozzd for info.

Now the MSS job is for auditing. They don't manage anyone anymore.

The way District Managers are sticking their fingers in the program it is bound to fail. Constantly changing things, vendors are paying for endcaps then district managers k--l them. It will be the store teams fault if it fails, but we all know it is the poor leadership that will ruin it. I was going to quit, but I would rather stay around and watch the ship sink.

Vendors are watching the MST program very closely. If sales don’t outweigh all the MST costs, they will pull back. Some vendors at HD have pulled back over the years and brought in their own people or service groups.

If we are copying Home Depot’s “MET” team, which we probably will. They have 6 layers of management in the structure. So if anything I see more expansion. HD has an MSS day, MSS night, in store Mgr, Traveling Service Mgr, district Mgr, Regional Mgr. all for MET. Currently Lowes MST has in store, MSS, District, Regional. Issue #2. This is a vendor funded program, not just a Dept for Marv to cut payroll from, heck where not even included in store payroll. But, what I do see is the vendors not wanting to fully fund the program in the future unless Lowes gets it act together. Corp Lowes is still using and pulling MST for non-vendor approved tasking. That’s not what the vendors want or what they’re paying for. A lot of outside vendors lost jobs with the roll out of MST. The program will be too much in the future just to have an in store MSM try to handle. Wait for qtr 3 and see....
