$50,000 I would say is the average starting salary, maybe higher if a more expensive COL city.
IBM shanty town innovation centers they pay far less for starting salaries so just avoid the ghetto.
Forget about this job at IBM. Its all about offshore at IBM and the real techies get a package to please leave the company. And the old lady at the wheel has lost her mind. Please find something else at an other company.
Why on earth would you even consider such a job role in a company that has rampantly been off-shoring such work to third-world hell holes for years?!? IBM now regards customer service as a necessary evil with the bean counters constantly looking for ways to reduce it as an overhead. Remember, since the late 90's, it's been stock-price/holders first, clients second and staff a very firm last place.
