They told Pine Bluff the same thing - "no more layoffs". Just laid off 4 machinists and 4 electricians with no notice it was coming.

So I'm curious why the unions are silent, specifically the IBEW. Just like when UP started writing people up on a nonexistant attendance policy, the IBEW was nowhere around to support it's members. Where did all the union dues go? Why is the IBEW not there to help out it's dues paying members? The least the IBEW could do is assist with job placement or education assistance.

UP has been partering up with the unemployment office and I receive emails from them about jobs in my local area. All I get from the IBEW is how great they are yet they are not there in times of need.
