You really think they're gonna run vRAN in AWS? That's not "legacy" by any means.

IT stuff may be easily offloaded but most of the core stuff supporting our product will always be done in house....thus requiring data centers.

Data centers are still there just for the legacy junk, like Sharepoint farm. Everything else moving to cloud; AWS, Salesforce, G-Suite. Vz never was very good at running data centers efficiently.

Do Data centers still exist in vz footprint?...last I heard vz bought a failed Co name terramark to manage the inherited biz from MCI and of course the obvious happened...the end.
