Q1

Here we are no massive layoffs- typical from the dead weight employees who were fired for great cause or disgruntled

Re-leveling/demotions sound strange to me. Is that really happening at oci? Is that due to cost cutting? So your TC decreases with that?

Many more to come! I know that for a fact

And just for clarity to my earlier post, I’m also being re levelled from M7 to IC5 so I’m not sitting on a throne looking down on anyone. I’m in the same situation and I’m NOT an ex-aws amhole.

Yours sincerely

(Soon to be ex M7) OCI

For those of you “tin foil hat” delusional people/

I have already set my riff and re level (demotion to those of you with limited vocabulary) meetings for this week. You can thank Uncle Clay.

Yours sincerely

M7 OCI

I double dog dare you to say "I will never get laid off from Oracle."

That's not the premise of the argument, you tool.

I merely am pointing out it's a weekly/daily/monthly prediction of sky is falling from your likes. And how, almost to 100%, the predictions are wrong to be followed with "fer sure this date, fer total shure."

Oracle's sheer size of 140k employees will naturally lend to trimming and shedding. So, yes, Oracle will continue with the trims and cuts here and there. At which time you'll jump in with hyperbole and gross exaggerations and "i told ya so." Wash, rinse, repeat.

"you can't assume that rif'd people are losers"

The ones on here predicting doom n gloom daily/weekly/monthly are losers.

The tinfoil hat brigade.

Not technically sure who posts on this site, however I am not HR, and yes massive layoff is happening in Manchester NH on Monday. LOBs have been informed. This is no secrete. It’s very sad. To make light of a loss of ones job is shameful. Please be kind, this is a very stressful time. People have bills and children to raise. I would also like to add, this affects us all. When I hear people making fun of other counties and races it breaks my heart. We are all one, so please do not be racist it’s rude, wrong and unbecoming.. We need to get back to realizing that we care for all. I would suggest, that you take a moment and thank your lucky stars for your heath and family. Loosing a job is no joke ever. So use this platform to be the strength that is needed.

It's not a broken clock when you have a culmination of so many events at the same time. Something big is up...

Being rif'd is not a reflection of your personal worth, technical expertise or value - it's wrong place wrong time. Oracle doesn't use metrics like the dumba$$ performance focals to decide who to rif, they rif you if you're in a group that's not profitable, in favor or somehow doesn't reflect the GTM strategy of the day. So you can't assume that rif'd people are losers (they may be losers but that's not why the were rif'd) No one know when or if they'll be selected for the golden rif package but we can all be assured that we have an equal opportunity.

Count the number of Execs that left in the past 9 months that are in the know. 90 percent of them were in product development. Oracle is laying off in R&D and Marketing. They are changing the legal structure of the company globally. This really does look like the things a company would do if it were planning on shutting down, or scaling back operations just to milk a revenue stream.

Name one thing other than cloud software Oracle in investing in for R&D...

The execs left because the strategy at Oracle is to milk what is there. Innovate zero... just copy what others do, but copy poorly.

I'm not even asking that much. But you bitter, laid off has-beens are on this endless loop of end is nigh; i guess you're bound to be right at some point.

Your behavior in this forum is only confirmation oracle laid off the right people.

I double dog dare you to say "I will never get laid off from Oracle. I am too good for Oracle to lay me off." Fate humbles everyone no matter how great they think you are. Just be brave enough to put those thoughts in writing. Let it loose in the universe and see how you fare.

@ZlwHsxM-fdd the sayings "even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile" and "a stopped clock is correct twice a day" come to mind. There are people who swear by the accuracy of this site. Personally I don't see it most of the time but of course sometimes it's right. I just look for rumors of when I'll be laid off.

The layoffs hit sales Monday morning. HR contacts managers at 11:30 am est to help with telling sales reps they no longer have a job. Rich Gerardo now heads Cloud group. Tech group headed by Mark Huerra

OCI is in deep trouble for sure, and the depth of it is going to further show up. One big cause of it is the delay and more delay that is result of infighting.

Imagine that OCI classic org of hundreds of people were doing the work while the management were thinking of k--ling it, imagine the potential and wasted effort/knowledge and experience went to drain by this sh-- show.

I hope ORACLE does not join the elderly companies moving toward death but rather a rejuvenate and join the big players club.

Looks like we have an instutionalized Oracle employee who thinks layoffs are normal and it will never happen to him. He can't see he is in an ever shrinking company with decades old technology and that other tech companies lead by visionary thinkers are growing by leaps and bounds.

He thinks if a rumor site doesn't have the exact date, department and list of names 100% correct, then everyone is wearing a tinfoil hat.

" will be executed fully globally by June 30."

It was Mayday May.

It was beginning in June.

Now it's really, super duper, really going to happen June 30?

Puts on tinfoil hat.

You have no idea what you are talking about. The budget, re levelling, demotion and riff for all OCI has been finalised and will be executed fully globally by June 30. Why don’t you come back here on June 30 just so I can say I told you so. You clearly work in HR or are completely clueless.
