What happened to the “confirmed” GBS reoffend that was supposed to be announced?

Poster said it was confirmed to be announced by end of last week. I haven’t seen any announcements or anyone in GBS talking about it.

Just another rumour ? This site feels full of conspiracy theories. Hard to tell what’s real.

There is no conspiracy theories.It is a fact or reality.

Finally they announce today in my group in USA today (06/06).its 10% in our group. But Hearing different group %age RA are different depending on revenue loss or profitability for that particular group.

Looking for information from other BU how much are impact.(%age wise).

What is real and what is not ? So are the comments based on rumors or does someone have leaked info they know about ? Normally leaked info comes from a manager who has people that are going to be let go. Also thought someone said in another post about some all hands meeting on the 5th but if it was for RAs we would have heard something by now. Confused on what is going on here. No hallway talk over here in Power that I am aware of.

Don't forget divestiture decision for different BU's and finalization of buyer agreement which also impact RA.

Q2 number are coming so bad that they are enforcing furlough for contractors in many BU's before June ends to meet numbers. RA number of 10%-20% depending on BU is now increase up to 40% (depending on BU).Along with RA is mix of contractor contracts which are getting over by June end are also on table.Its a complex decision how to RA employees and don't renew contractor contracts and reorg different BU and still meet customer obligation of sign support contracts and continue business as usual without impacting customers who are already leaving because of poor support or poor project execution without qualified resources.

It seems RA list which was supposed to announce end of May was based on two months old exercise where Q1 numbers as well forecast Q2 number were not taken in account which were worst then earlier thought.Pipeline is dry and sales forecast goes further down. Ibm cannot have two rounds of RA's within few months.They need to figure out correct numbers and correct re-org and do it one time for this year. Seems RA number will go further up. And this time RA is impacting multiple divisions and multiple countries and major reorg of higher band with major re-orgs, All top higher bands(10 and above) focus is to save their kingdom or get new small combine kingdom to survive .Everyone is back on. tables deciding on how to do major reorg with their position safe along with RA of their current BU including long term plan of combining GTS and GBS and save their A--. It's just postpone by a month . Be patient and it's coming by end of this month in few weeks.

Today (June 3, 2019), all is quiet this far in the GBS Custom ADM Practice (Division 6C).

There is a Custom ADM NA All Hands Call scheduled for June 5, 2019. This call will be 1-hour; however, I do not see the agenda include any topics for reorganization.

If the speculation is true that IBM Global Services (GBS & GTS) will execute the RAs (layoffs) prior to end of 2Q2019 (June 28, 2019) with a two weeks notice, then I would believe that the impacted IBMers will be notified no later than June 14, 2019.

If the re-org / rightsizing rumor is correct, and it sure looks like IBM is serious this time, I wish everyone good luck. Let’s hope management finally gets it right and we move forward with a plan that is positive for all involved Even a blind pig finds an acorn every once in a while ehhh
