Do they bring package to you for V or mail to your home?
Also, Type V layoffs are coming and will be offered to all comers. Just lay yourself off!
We have a town hall meeting with Vicki on June 25th, rumor is that packages will come out after that, and it will be discussed at the meeting.
What did the package look like for those 55+ last time?
Is that 30-35% of the combined company, or the Oxy side alone? Did you get this number from someone, or just a guess?
Yes involuntary. Cuts in the 30-35% range, sadly.
Just curious, what are Type IV layoffs? Does that stand for involuntary?
I do think there will be layoffs on both sides. They will probably offer the voluntary packages first and see how many people bite. Then they will assess how many involuntary layoffs are needed.
I wish I was 55... I'd take the package in a heartbeat. Things will be tough for a while.
There are a bunch of people who didn't take the package last time. I bet they will be more strongly encouraged this time around.

Supposedly June 22nd. Just a rumor as always.
I've heard it will be offered to over 55, just like during the downturn. Haven't heard about those younger. They did allow some younger than 55 to take a smaller package last time.
