Confirmed through inside source in Omaha that everything remaining at Hinkle (Tools, cranes, wheel true, drop pit, etc) is being sold off via auction company.....EVERYTHING will be sold and the shop will be torn down, even removing the service track. They have no future plans for Hinkle so don’t hope to get called back in the future, it’s not going to happen. Find a new job and forget about UP forever, they don’t care about you and that’s obvious. Ultimately ALL work at ALL locations will be contracted, confirmed. All remaining employees at all locations need to find new jobs NOW before they lay everyone off and the competition for other jobs is at its highest with all the layed off UP employees flooding the open job market. Get ahead of the flood.

That's what they did in Kansas City with the Armourdale yard. They brought in an auction company and sold everything. The crane, air compressors, even tried to sell the turntable. A contractor just took down the wheel true building and now the wheel true machine is sitting out in the open half under water since there is no power to run the sump pump. They don't give a sh--. They supposedly sold the car shop to TTX and now all the UPcarmen will work outside on repair tracks.
Sounds like a hater towards Hinkle.
Sell the locomotives and office desks.
Sell company trucks. Sell the yards.
Sell off UP to the Asians for 118 billion

Go ahead and doubt all you want, just like those that doubted them shutting Hinkle down....and look at how that went.
If your a current employee my advice, from what I was recently told, is to find another job now before they inevitably lay you off. Your going to feel better knowing you already found a job before they are all soaked up by the thousands of layed off UP employees.
This doesn't seem credible at all.
Who is the "inside source" here? You should at least be able to name where they are placed in the organization and why they said what they said.
This is just more of the conspiratioral ranting that has undercut what little credibility this board had regarding its intended purpose.
