So many people are complaining about the situation at Union Pacific and yet all of them are still here. Is it the possibility of a severance that's keeping you here?
I'm honestly curious what would it take for those who are so miserable here to make the decision to leave on their own?
Still here because of the federal law that mandates a retirement thats why. Goverment forces a retirement. Thats why we are here. Once thats gone then were gone to.

I am sticking around until they push me out. I have 26 years of service and not leaving that easily. Maybe if I had 10 I would leave.
I heard some people talking that they're sticking around for the free hot dogs at the safety feeds and UP bottled water. Also cause we're a family. Tee-Hee.

Agreement employees are here because a lot of us are close to either being vested in railroad retirement or are close to retirement.
as for the executive team, I think it’s their fake degrees and lack of qualifications to work at that level at another company that keeps them there.
For most people they just need the push. It's easy to say yeah I could go do this or that but most jobs here have six figure potential and it's easy to complain. People just want to know there job is secure.
