Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Oracle's Leadership in High Tech Industry

Oracle isn’t leading the way to anything.

Not truly investing fully in these initiatives means they will always look like the cheap a-- option provided by one of the most despised tech companies in the world.

The Database market is very mature, with lots of non-Oracle options that don’t include audits that resemble a colonoscopy, vendor lock-in, multiple overlapping sales functions, etc.

The executive team is old, out of ideas, devoid of true leadership and solely focused on preserving their capital. A through housecleaning is long overdue there, and maybe inevitable if only to show customers a new face and try to convince the market that Oracle will change.

Dude, wake up and smells the coffee! Whether you like it or not, it’s his company. Yeah, of course oracle would have been much better of had he retired a long time ago, but he’s not interested in letting go. So, the smart thing is for you to leave and get in with your life rather than make your life dependent of what ego driven, senile grandpa does. Get the hell out now!

We need LE to retire and move on to other things. Like Bill Gates did. Ballmer was Gates' college buddy, he wouldn't have left if Dates wasn't full time in his Foundation.

And you forgot to mention that we also have grandpa, who truth be told is at the root of the problem. Never forget that the only reason SC and MH are here is because LE wants them here. That says it all, now doesn’t it!

SC is an Accountant which might be great for acquisitions, but today all of our competitors are several times larger than us so we cannot acquire them.

MH is a an old school licencing sales guy who has not evolved. Like Steve Ballmer.

We need a product guy, an engineer, in charge. Like MS did with they replaced Ballmer with Nadella.

Oracle has some of the worst leadership in the tech industry who also happen to be the highest paid. Shareholders should be outraged. Oracle needs a fresh perspective. Either name JL CEO or hire an outsider with a tech pedigree.

Microsoft hired a great leader from within and it's paid dividends. Oracle needs to hire someone from engineering with a great track record of success and make him the leader. This is Larry's legacy now and he needs to position the company to survive and thrive. MH and SC are not those people, no matter how much you like them and they are your loyal friends. They've done your company wrong and it's time to right the ship.

"free of the oracle internal disinformation bubble, it’s easy to see how much gaslighting is going on here. Friends still at O are completely gaslit"

You've watched Matrix one to many times, dim-wit.

Yeah, so OP here.

I got plenty of prospects, pal. More than I can handle. Know why?

Once free of the oracle internal disinformation bubble, it’s easy to see how much gaslighting is going on here. Friends still at O are completely gaslit, and don’t see it, even after constant layoffs, a crushing workload, no raises, micromanaging supervisors, loss of WFH, being sardined into horrid open offices, unable to move to other orgs, etc.

Free your mind from Oracle Corp slavery!

Considering Oracle employs roughly 3:1 overhead to engineering ratio it's not a surprise they aren't innovating.

LE is trying to hold till he kicks the bucket, doesn’t care about oracle buying the value of his shares not declining significantly
