Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

At the end of the day the fact is that WFTIF is being traded for 4 cents. This means the company has no value.

Again weatherford is misleading employees into believing that there is a future. This is a run out the clock game. Kick the can down the road a year, 6 months who cares when your making 4 million a year and get a years salary severance if you get run off (did not mention the stock options because they are worthless) . Win win for execs and as the employee chooo lose!

Take the pay cut for the good of the company keep doing our job and everything else will work itself out because you have a management team that has a winning track record.

The stock ticker is on life support. It has totally flat lined

Someone needs to pull the plug on this thing.

I really hope anyone at remaining at this company has an exit plan.

Good luck to everyone.

It don’t mean nothing, Weatherford might belly up or it might pull through. I know one thing, I’m from pioneering stock and whatever happens I’ll pull through, remember folks that they can beat us and they can cuss on us but we can’t be licked......We the people will always survive. Now git at those pipes boys.

On Monday, Weatherford announced they hired Halliburton CFO, Mark McCollum, as its new President and CEO, effective in late April.

On Friday Weatherford announced the terms of his hiring in an 8-K filing. Mr McCollum gets:

base salary of $1 million

cash bonuses that could be between 60% and 180% of base

long-term equity incentive award of $6 million, vesting in equal installments over 3 years

restricted shares worth $3 million, vesting over 3 years (25%, 25%, 50%)

If Mr McCollum is fired other than for cause, he gets 2 x base salary and the restricted shares will vest immediately

If Weatherford gets taken over, he will receive a lump sum being 3 x the highest salary he received in the preceding 3 years and the annual cash bonus average for those 3 years.

What do you figure the VP's get? Look it ip.

Watch revenue tank even further when NOC’s any the country’s regulatory bodies put the stop to awarding WFT work due to risk! Was tough enough the last 5 years even before chapter 11 to overcome the then financial health during tenders! Europe probably not an issue but Africa, Middle East and AsiaPac a whole different beast!

Just don’t see a positive outcome for weatherford going forward despite the propaganda and head in the sand messages I am hearing and seeing on the other business media site!

Yes if WFT does not pay its debts, it has value.

Sounds like an APAC new hire. Engineering division.

The company has value. The issue the equity value is 0. If you removed all the interest payment the company generates a little bit of cash. Its not worth 8 billion, but its worth something. Maybe 4 billion or 3 billion.

Those of you working overseas need to have your round trip ticket up front. And even then air tickets can be cancelled. Be prepared
