So UP has stooped to posting survey questions on a layoff site? Classy.

The answer to the original question is that everybody working at UP who isn't an executive or a masochist is looking for another job right now, and they will probably quit as soon as they find one.

Been there for 7 years and will be leaving in a few months, These id--ts have completely lost their minds with their plans and are now getting rid safety rules in order to increase their production numbers while cutting more and more jobs. I have better things to do with my life than to go to work every day wondering whether it will be my last.

This is my unscientific breakdown of users on this website.

50% of everyone on here has either quit or been furloughed but they check out this website out of sheer curiosity and entertainment.

40% of the users are current employees that are either worried about layoffs or actively looking to quit.

5% of users are UP railbuff foamers that are insulted this website exists and come here to troll.

4% of users have no affiliation with UP but are either reporters with the media or potential employees of UP and have heard about layoffs.

1% of users are UP lawyers scanning this website and reporting every other post to the administrator asking for its removal. And other members of the executive team.

I think that adds up to 100. Forgive me I lost a few IQ points during my time at UP.

I left in December on my own - started my own business, bought some equpment and I am doning machining - I am making about 80% of what I was making before but I am much happier. If I continue to improve I'll hit 100% soon.

Good luck all

I saw the writing on the wall and left at the first good opportunity.

All UP offers is extraordinary levels of stress for below-average pay and mediocre benefits. In the current job market nobody who is working at UP now will still be there in a year unless they have no other options. This is especially true for the junior managers, all of whom are all over LinkedIn applying to every job posted and hosing every corporate recruiter on the site.

Not very likely. I've already started the job searching. I know it's coming. For those of you that are still employed by this sh1thole of a company, GET OUT! I think what everyone needs to do is get the news out there about how this company actually runs and treats its employees. Is anyone aware of the apology tour the other class 1's did after PSR? That's some good reading! Check it out
