Did anyone watch the Moss all hands meeting on Thursday morning? During the Q&A he made an interesting comment in response to a question about which areas were done with regard to Smart Redesign. He said that he didnt know where all those rumors are coming from, but they are not true. He then gave a number of days left (I cant remember what the number off the top of my head). It doesnt appear that we are close to being done.

@1pdx which planet are you on? Agile has added at least 15% overhead to our work with the only noticeable benefit being the financial tracking in Rally. Think back... SDLC, AMC/ASC/PTG (SDM), AM/AD, (plus the 2 or 3 that I am forgetting) and now Agile. Pffft, this is just a new pig with the same old pearls.
PDO? fine, thats pretty much how we did things 25 years ago. Agile? Just another methodology that the consultants sold us that is supposed to cure cancer, but will end up costing us more in the end.
To me & many in my department, the Smart Design is being executed as designed with glowing results, waste in white collar is just that! Being agile which uses incremental iterative work sequences that are commonly known as sprints is changing the entire methodology life-cycle to profitability.

In other regions (including GBS, IMG, South America, Mexico and Europe), the Smart Redesign process is still ongoing, and your People Leader will provide updates and be as transparent as possible. When there’s more to share, we will communicate that to you.
