Has anyone cashed out their tier 2 after being laid off or is that even possible anyone know

If you haven’t reached five years when laid off, you kiss all the tier 2 money goodbye. Tier 1 converts to Social Security, but tier 2 gets doled out to the others still in RRB and not to you.
haha just pray that railroad retirement is still around one day and when you get retirement age you can cash it out. one month at a time.

Not possible. It’s not technically a pension. Would be like cashing out your social security.
