Totally inept from middle management upwards that has provoked back stabbing amongst the workforce. Zero communication and an unhealthy us and them mentality between dayshift and nightshift workers. Not a nice place to work at right now, cant see it getting any better

Remember at NOV all that matters is that upper management keeps their job. We trolls don’t matter, & neither does the customer getting their equipment on time & in working condition!

Are you sure, I work at the GH facility and to be honest I am surprised it is still open. I am assuming tha last comment was posted by management so I ask what is the medium term probability we will still be operating in 12 months, all the indicators say NOV management are not happy with our performance and neither are clients. What will you gents do to make it work and when will shop floor be told.

What will also be done about the inept managers and directors in Aberdeen and Houston ? They have allowed all this to happen in some instances perpetuated situations for their own benefit.

Nice to see some real honesty on here about shutting down Gateshead. You guys must have some pretty open management there for y’all to know about it, it’s not like that here, management here would do better if they was more honest and open.

Good news for us then, if you are unable to supply basic equipment in less than 6 months in current market then the facility is not worth salt. Joke of delivering product when we need it on the ground so build in the USA and get it to customers on time. Good luck y'all!

Not sure about that, new structure not formalised until July so I call BS. Lots of money being put into UK facilities moving machines about for no reason and new quality manager starting soon.... Oh no he is not. Reason being he was tipped off about plans. Plenty overtime for supervisors at the minute though, never questioned, 10, 15 hours a week walking about. Extra weeks wages for doing nothing, sign me up!

Manufacturing moved to Aberdeen and Houston by the end of the year. New structure by the beginning of June that prevents gateshead managers and directors protecting inept mangers who have ran the facility into the ground. Few will remain in separate office space for transition period then all gone by Q1 2020.

The closure plan is being reviewed for approval by the same id--ts as last time. Work will be transferred to

Houston and Manchester.
