It's actually lack of training as in every other department. They think that anyone can do the job when they themselves have zero knowledge. Claims is a bit different because there are regulations that need to be followed when processing claims. This also includes all the hazmat regulations when disposing merchandise as well as shipping. Oh and don't forget you should also be unloading trucks, get the backdoor for local vendors, merchandise pick up, and of course receiving office paperwork. Wait, are we not paperless?? Yeah right!!!!!!

Only my ex-claim person does claims and receiving office. When he goes on vacation everything is on auto pilot, nothing gets done in claims. One of my managers tears upc's off merchandise and holds them until he gets back to damage out. WOW!!!

Our team is doing a lot better than the long term entitled associate that worked there for 20+ years.

It's not that it has taken a back seat, it's the new people in this position that cant keep things together and running smooth and it's not claims but backroom.

Our team is doing great. Not much of a change from before. Only difference is that both can do either job now.

Once block schedules are out we are getting another AM and PM backroom full time associate. That will help with truck schedule changing.
