Philanthropy and Corporate Responsibility -- what a joke

I see we have a new vice chairman to oversee these things. They give away with one hand what they took with the other, then spend money making sure the world knows they are concerned about existing conditions (the very conditions they actively created through ruthless investment and speculation).

I suggest they call this department "The Abolition of the Dimension of the Neighbor".

The tortured subject is no longer a 'neighbor', but an object whose pain is neutralized, reduced to a property that has to be dealt with in a rational utilitarian calculus (so much pain is tolerable if it prevents a much greater amount of pain).

Priceless (PUN intended).

Corporate philanthropy is nothing more than a branding exercise. No one actually believes they give a darn.

Telemarketing scams targeting the elderly would be a huge step up from that administration.

Corporate responsibility is a joke! Have you seen the hilariously sad, awful report they just published? It’s pathetic. I feel sorry for the people who wrote it since clearly their job is to publish lies.

Great comment. I believe this is all part of the plan to merge us or have us acquired by JPM Chase. Our new hire is a washington insider. Its the purchase of influence and connections needed to smooth out the merger path with the Feds.

I am a bit disappointed that a member of the Obama administration would stoop so low as to join this organization.
